Madhur Anand
Madhur Anand's debut book of poems by McClelland & Stewart, A New Index for Predicting Catastrophes, was a finalist for the Trillium Book Award in 2015. It was listed by CBC as one of the "10 trailblazing Canadian poetry collections to read." More recent poems have appeared in The Walrus, carte blanche, and Canadian Notes & Queries, of which she has just become the poetry editor. She co-edited Regreen: New Canadian Ecological Poetry, the first contemporary anthology of ecological poetry. Her award-winning prose has appeared in a number of magazines including The Puritan, Brick, and The New Quarterly. Her debut creative non-fiction book This Red Line Goes Straight to Your Heart was published by Strange Light, the newest imprint for boundary-pushing books from Penguin Random House Canada. Dr. Anand is a full professor of Ecology and Sustainability Science at the University of Guelph and served as Director of the Waterloo Institute for Complexity & Innovation from 2015–18.
